Why Choose Coastal Forest Lodge (CFL)?<\/h3>\n

CFL is a fully accredited campsite and offers a quality camping experience, suitable for all age groups. We provide excellent facilities and services. Exclusive hire is guaranteed (one school group at a time).<\/p>\n

Minimum charge = 35 campers. Maximum capacity = 75 students + 8 teachers.<\/p>\n

Camping at CFL is a fun and exciting opportunity for students to explore the outdoors and live away from home for a few days. It’s a rewarding and enriching experience for students. It gives them an opportunity to develop new skills in a supportive and welcoming environment. Students will gain outdoor experience, enhance their communication skills, self esteem and team building skills and meet new friends. They’ll set and achieve new goals and embrace the natural environment in a safe and sustainable way.<\/p>\n

CFL promotes environmental sustainability and welcomes all teachers and students. The camp is specifically designed to make supervision easy. CFL encourages team work, initiative and responsibility. It’s an excellent location for students to grow and develop leadership skills.<\/p>\n

Team work is important at CFL – we have an excellent team. Our staff are knowledgeable, helpful, energetic and friendly. We endeavour to meet each group’s specific needs and deliver a quality camping experience for all.<\/p>\n

Design, Layout & Facilities<\/h3>\n

Coastal Forest Lodge has been purpose designed and built for school groups.<\/p>\n

The horseshoe layout allows excellent supervision with a central staffroom. All ensuite cabins are located within the safe fenced alcove area. A large recreational room is available for passive indoor activities such as meetings, concerts, disco’s, bush dancing, etc.<\/p>\n

The dining room is light and bright with a separate wash up scullery. Duty groups are required but CFL kitchenhand staff will do the dishes.<\/p>\n

There is extensive under cover decking area and verandahs.<\/p>\n

Location & Surroundings<\/h3>\n

Easy travelling distance from Melbourne (1.5hrs) and surrounding areas – Mornington Peninsula, Ballarat & Geelong.
\nPeaceful bush setting only 5 mins from town and surf beaches, Anglesea (6kms) & Torquay (10kms).<\/p>\n

Beautiful property (196 acres) with landscaped gardens and large natural bushland areas with bushwalks, dams for yabbying and abundant wildlife. KANGAROOS GALORE!<\/p>\n

Coastal Forest Lodge has a terrific selection of activities both onsite (no additional cost) and offsite (specialised activites are an additional cost).<\/p>\n

Offsite Specialised Activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Surfing, kayaking, snorkeling, surf carnival, lifesaving, mountain bike riding, SPLASH, lighthouse tours, rockpool rambles, horseriding, bushwalks, bush dancing and more.<\/p>\n

Onsite Activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Eagles Nest, bushwalk, low ropes course, hut building, initiative activities, archery, mini golf, yabbying, orienteering, photo trail, bush cooking, bush craft, postcard writing, environmental walk, night walk, and a friendly petting paddock.<\/p>\n

All onsite activities are low risk and easy to run. They are well designed, set-up and ready to use (information booklets and demonstrations available). All onsite activities are lead by teachers\/leaders, except the petting paddock – this is lead by CFL staff.<\/p>\n

CFL has a basketball court, four square, volleyball, cricket pitch, sand pit, soccer goals and plenty of space!<\/p>\n

Coastal Forest Lodge is a perfect base for groups wishing to use the local area and Specialised Activity Providers: Ecologic (environmental programs), Go Ride a Wave (surfing, kayaking, lifeguarding, etc.), SeaEarth Adventures (surfing, kayaking, lifeguarding, etc.), GORATS (mountain bike riding and canoeing) and Blazing Saddles (beach horse rides).<\/p>\n

FOR FULLY CATERED CAMPS – CFL PROVIDES COMPLIMENTARY TRANSPORT TO OFFSITE ACTIVITIES IN ANGLESEA – 1 two-way bus trip to Anglesea Main Beach and return per person.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Groups can use Coastal Forest Lodge activities or design and run a program of their own e.g. retreat. Helpful advice, suggestions and assistance is always available.<\/p>\n

An extensive Teachers\/Leaders Information Booklet – general information, camp layout, maps, camp rules, emergency contact numbers, activity ideas, sample camp activity booklet, etc. is provided.<\/p>\n

A friendly welcome and safety briefing is conducted upon arrival.<\/p>\n

Catering<\/h3>\n

A quality catering service is provided. The menu is designed to suit the needs and program for your group. Offsite picnic lunches are available!<\/p>\n

Dietary requirements are treated with care such as anaphylaxis, coeliac disease, gluten or lactose intolerances, etc. We work with guests or their parents \/ guardians to ensure that the menu is suitable and that risk is minimised.<\/p>\n
